Lithography   (Offset Printing)

The Image is classified as ‘Planographic’ this is simply explained as an image which is on the same plan as the non-image area.

It is based on the principle that grease (ink) and water do not mix, therefore the image area must be sensitised to accept ink and the non-image area must be non-sensitised to ink and very receptive to water.

The technical term being: Image “OLOPHILIC”
